Heart of the Earth Festival
CELEBRATING WAYUU ART & CULTURE
15th & 16th August, 2026
Tramshed Arts and Community Centre, Narrabeen, NSW
Come on a journey with us into the vibrant life and culture of the Indigenous Wayuu tribe of La Guajira, Colombia.
Sponsored by the Northern Beaches Council, this two-day event will showcase traditional Wayuu art and culture, and immerse you within the Colombian culture with weaving, music, dance, cuisine, and film with all profits raise invested into community-led projects in La Guajira, Colombia.
Saturday, 15th August
1pm - 5pm - Open Gallery
1:30pm - Colombian cultural opening ceremony
2pm - Creative activities (weaving)
3pm - Film Screening of Aluna
5pm - 9:30pm - Fiesta!
Enjoy a fun-filled evening of Colombian food, music and dance while raising funds for our community programs!

10am - 3pm Open Gallery
10:30am - 11:30pm - Traditional Arepas and tinto (Colombian corn bread and coffee)
11am - Dance Performance

Giving a voice to the community
Catch Chrissy Mack, Presenter, from Radio Northern Beaches at the Heart of the Earth Festival - Celebrating Wayuu Art & Culture at the Tramshed with One Thread Collective!
Radio Northern Beaches, Listen and Chat’s very own Chrissy Mack will be there live on the ground on Saturday 15 August between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM, capturing the magic of the event.
Chrissy will be interviewing attendees, chatting with the talented members of the collective, and recording the beautiful cultural music and event highlights to share with you on air.
Whether you are a regular listener, a member of our incredible local Latin community, or just looking to immerse yourself in fantastic music and community spirit, we would love to see you.
